The Carnivore diet.

I am giving a carnivore diet a go.

It’s becoming trendy, and sooner or later, one of my clients will ask me about it.
And as there is no better way of learning about a new subject than jumping head in, I am on it!

The carnivore diet concept sounds like a bloke’s dream; you eat meat: All-day, every day.

It makes eating easy.
You don’t need to count calories, you don’t bother about macros, and the promise is that you will lose weight and feel fantastic.
This is my 3rd day. I didn’t get any carbs for the last 60h, and yesterday it was tough. I was lightheaded most of the day and cold.

This is probably down to my body shifting from main carbs to fat burning. The process may take from a few days to a few weeks, and when it’s done, everything should get back to normal.

From the positives, my energy levels have been pretty high, and my guts felt surprising well. Before embarking on that journey, I had some GI tract problems, and this new way of eating has calmed everything down. This is one of the benefits of the carnivore diet. People with autoimmune diseases, leaky gut syndrome and general gut problems all report improvements to the point where they stop taking medicines.

From the negatives, I had cravings. Yesterday night I wanted an apple, badly. But again, those should stop when the process is done. So far, so good.

Let’s see what the next couple of days will bring.

Disclaimer.

I dont think this is the most suitable way of eating. I dont recommend it. It is just a trial, and I dont have plans to eat meat only for the rest of my life.
